Phillip Garcia
J.
Phillip Garcia, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Jacksonville native who graduated cum laude
from Jacksonville University . He attended the University of Miami School of
Medicine where he developed an interest in the head and neck. He completed a
research fellowship in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the Albert
Einstein College of Medicine in New York prior to completing an internship in
General Surgery at that institution. He completed a residency in
Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as
well. Dr. Garcia then proceeded to complete a fellowship in Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery at the world-renowned McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic
in Alabama .
Dr. Garcia's special interests include rhinoplasty (nasal surgery) as well as
surgery of the aging face. He has published numerous papers and has presented
several research topics at international meetings.
Dr. Garcia is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery
and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Eloy Garcia, M.D. attended high school at The Bolles School and graduated Cum
Laude from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.
While in college, Dr. Garcia had the unique opportunity to work with Elliot
Richelson, M.D. at the Mayo Clinic. During that time, he authored several
articles on the neurobiological treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
He then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin where he developed an
interest in surgery of the face, head and neck. While in medical school, Dr.
Garcia was considered a distinguished anatomist teaching nurses and medical
students the complexity of head and neck anatomy under the guide of the
well-recognized anatomist Frederick Setter, PhD.
Having graduated medical school, Dr. Garcia chose to pursue the highly
competitive specialty of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. After completing
his internship in General Surgery at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Syracuse,
New York, he went on to complete a four-year specialty in Otolaryngology-Head
and Neck Surgery under the tutelage of world-renowned craniomaxillofacial
surgeons Dr. Robert Kellman and Dr. Sherard Tatum. Dr. Garcia excelled in
cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face along with maxillofacial surgery
and was involved in developing techniques for management of facial trauma. In
his chief year, Dr. Garcia was nominated by medical students in training to be
amongst the best educators within the hospital. While in postgraduate training,
Dr. Garcia was involved in many scientific projects and published a number of
papers in peer-reviewed journals.
He then obtained a highly specialized fellowship training in Facial Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery at the McCollough Institute for Appearance and
Health. While in fellowship, Dr. Garcia underwent more extensive specialized
training in cosmetic surgery of the aging face and neck and cosmetic and
reconstructive surgery of the nose. He continued to publish scientific articles
and currently is writing a textbook along with his brother, Dr. Phillip Garcia
on Endonasal and reconstructive Rhinoplasty.
Dr. Garcia joined The Garcia Facial Plastic Surgery Institute in July 2005. He
is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is board
certified to practice Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
His areas of focus are in cosmetic surgery of the aging face as well as in
advanced and revision nasal surgery. He also has an unrelenting aspiration
for advancing the sub-specialty of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery
through seminars, publishing scientific works, and educating his peers in the
art of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
